  • What about weight loss injections?
Semaglutide Injections Boosts Weight Loss, Energy, and MORE! With the help of Semaglutide, you may finally lose weight and keep it off! Semaglutide - A class of medications called glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) agonists. GLP-1 agonists work by stimulating your pancreas to increase insulin. It works by slowing down gastric emptying. When the stomach takes more time to empty itself of food, it sends signals of “fullness” to the brain. The result of this process is a powerful appetite suppression effect based on the patient’s own natural insulin production. This means patients can benefit from medically assisted weight loss without any need for invasive surgeries or harsh stimulants. A Semaglutide regimen will also lead to healthier blood sugar levels, which can help patients feel more energetic throughout their day. • Why does PRP work?
Platelets are a specialized type of blood cell. Blood is made up of 93% red cells (RBCs), 6% platelets, 1% white blood cells (WBCs), and plasma. Human platelets are naturally extremely rich in connective tissue growth factors. Injecting these growth factors into damaged ligaments, tendons, and joints stimulates a natural repair process.
  • Does PRP hurt?
Because lidocaine interferes with the platelet function, it is not used during the PRP injection. Temporary discomfort will occur but will resolve.
  • What should I do after getting PRP?
What are Post Care Instructions? Keep the site clean and dry. For the days preceding the injection and for the first week after the injection it is critical to avoid anti-inflammatory medications, including Advil, Motrin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Celebrex, and aspirin (unless prescribed by your heart doctor). These will interfere with the healing response. Tylenol is OK. Avoid rigorous and strenous activity to areas of PRP in addition to Ice packs.
  • Is PRP covered by insurance?
Most insurance plans, including Medicare, do NOT pay for PRP injections. Please talk to the provider to discuss estimates and or payments.
